Geo: Plater Collr Embargo Upon Representation ordered that an Embargo upon Ships till first of and Stop be put upon all Ships & Vesseils bound Novembr for Europe Untill the first day of Novembr next and tht no such Ships be Cleared to Sayle by any of their Majtis Collectors in this Province before that day and that no such Ships as Afsd be Afterwards Cleared untill fur ther Order wch is Supposed will not be till Christmas or after And that the ffleet be made up in Petuxant River except the two Ships in Potomock whereof all persons concerned are to take due Notice
Septembr the 29th 1694 Mr Phil: Came Mr Kenelem Cheseldyn Recorder of the City of St Maries together wth Sevrll other Members Mayor of St of the S'd Corporation and presented Mr Philip Maries City Lynes Mayor Elect for the S'd City to his to be sworne who Accordingly had Administred unto him in Whitehall
Councill the Usuall Oath of Mayor of the S'd City—
His Excency In reading over a Letter Sent from his Excency Sr p. 66 demands Whether Edmond Androse to the Honoble Coll Nicholas Coll Green- Greenbery then President of their Majties Councill berry had taken the here Dated 19th of March 1693 A Clause therein Oath of was inserted as follows Vizt I hear it Objected tht e ca you have not taken the Oath for observance of the
Oaths of Trade and Plantacons Enjoyned by S'd Act on pen alty therein wch I think Necessary to intimate; his Excncy there upon did aske the S'd Coll Greenbery whether he had taken the S'd Oaths who makes Answer tht he has not taken the sd Oaths, the same never being tendered to him by Sr Edmond or any other person
