                     July 31th 1694.

   Ordr     Ordered that the Commissioners of the several &

    Councill re-       .       .  .

    lating to the respective Counties within this Province give Direc

    Officers tions to their Clerk to draw out a List of the severall

    Civill &

    Military of ffines & forfietures appearing vpon Record in the

    the severall said County Courts together with an Account of the

    Counties for severall & respective Majestrates & Officers belong-

    Return &Ca ing to their said Courts, as also what parishes laid

    out within each County to be sent vnder the hands of the said

    Justices Unto this Board by the 20th day of September next

    And that the Sheriffe of each respective County give Notice

    to the severall & respective Mititary Officers within their

    several precincts that all and each of the said Officers do take

    an exact & particular Account by a strict Survey & Examina- Whitehall

    tion had of every particular soldier vnder their Command of

    his Name, Equipage and instruments of Warr he is furnished

    withall; an exact List whereof as to the Name & furniture of

    each Soldier being taken, all the Commission Officers of each

    respective Company or Troope are hereby Enjoyned to trans

    mit the same vnder their hands distinctly together with an

    Account of what publick Arms are in their severall Counties

    and how the same are fixed; as likewise what powder & Ball

    lyes lodged within ther Counties to be ready at the place &

    day above recited; Lastly the said Sherriffes are likewise to

    Give Notice to all and singular the Vestrymen of each parish

    within their said Counties that by the time & to the place

    aforesaid they make Return of the Number of Tythables in

    each parish laid out; what Suflies of Tobacco has been by

    them Received, pursuant to the Act of Assembly and how

    disbursed & laid out and what Churches built, a building or

    in readiness to be built; And to the End no person may plead

    ignorance in these Affairs, the Sherriffe of each respective

    County is to publish & make known this Order at the County

    Court held in August within each County.

    they could think off at present to Offer, who having no more Whitehall

    to Offer or say his Exncy told them that he hoped they would

    all appear at the Meeting of the Assembly.

      At a Councill held at the Councill Chamber at the City of

    St Maries the 21st day of Sepr in the Sixth Year of the Reign
