Lib. H. D. cannot be conclusive to the King but that the ship is answer able for what breaches (if any) have been by her Committed against their Mats Acts of Trade and Navigation all which is humbly submitted by Yor Exncies most obedient humble Servant George Plater.
The which being read; Mr Tench Defendant in the Matter in question humbly Moved that time might be given him to Answer thereto, and therevpon Ordered that time be given to the said W Tench to answer thereto and that Coppy of the said petition and Report be given him.
Coll David The Honoble Coll David Browne appears at the Browne . sworn Board, who had Administered Unto him the Oaths Councillor &ca appointed by Act of Parliamt to be taken instead of C the Oaths of Allegiance & Supremacy as also the
Oath of Councillor, and Afterwards subscribed to the Test.
Counciilors Ordered that where any of the Gentlemen of the Councill Reside within any of the Counties of the Comman- Province, that the same be principle Officers & dersinthe Commanders of the Militia within their severall &
where they respective Counties. live
Militia Ordered that the honoble Capt John Addison be Officers for Charles Commissionated Collonell of Charles County in the
County roome & stead of Coll Humphrey Warren and that Mr William Hutchinson be constituted Captain over the Troope which was Capt Addisons; that Capt John Courts have Com ission to be Lievetent Collonell, Mr Henry Hawkins to be Capt of Capt Courts's Troope of horse and that Majr Smallwood remaine Major; Capt Wm Dent to be Coroner instead of Mr John Stone. Militia That Sr Thomas Laurence Baront be Commission- Officers for St Maries ated Collonell for St Maries County, Capt John Cood CountyLievetent Collonell and that Majr Cambell remaine Major. p. That Coll Henry Jowles be Collonell for Calvert County instead of Coll Beale and that the said Beale have Commission to be Lievetenant Collonell and that Mr Thomas Greenfield be Commissionated Major. That Majr Henry Ridgely be Commissionated Lievetenant Collonell for Ann Arrundell County and that Captain John Hammond have Commission to be Majr in his stead.
