       Lib. H. D. Coll Robo-His Honor Coll Robotham being lately come from

             tham per

             mitted to England and not as yet been at home since his

             Retire Home Arrivall, humbly desired the leave of his Exncy and

                    the Board to Retire home, which was accordingly

      

             Granted him.

      

             Capt Bayns Petition of Capt John Bayne, moving about the

             Shifes. place Sheriffs place of St Maries County being Read, was

             Rejected Rejected; Capt Cood being made Sheriffe by Ordr of

      

             Councill Yesterday.

      

             Richard Petition of Richard Sheppard of Calvert County,

             Pet Referred Read setting forth some ill Usage he Received in

             to the com- that County Court; Ordered that the Petitionr be

             issionrs of the County Referred to the Commissioners of the said County

      

             Court for Court and that they Return Answer to this Board

             Answr

                    with all convenient speed.

      

             Coll     The honble Coll Nicholas Greenberry delivered

             Greenberry

             delivers the to his Exncy at the Board the Broad Seal of the

             Broad Seal Province, the which his Exncy was pleased to leave

             to his Exncy

                    vpon the Board with the Gentlemen of the Councill

             to be put in the Custody and Charge of such person as they

             shall think fit; but vpon consideration had it was Agreed vpon

             to be his Exncies Right and that the same should be Returned

             to his Exncy again to dispose thereof as seems best to his Exncy

             and therevpon Sr Thomas Laurence tooke Charge of the same

             to Redeliver it to his Exncy

      

             His Ex Proposed by his Exncy to the Councill whether

             proposes whether the there was occasion of calling an Assembly signifyeing

             calling an to them that as he would not be wanting in his Duty

       to their Mats when it was for their service to have

       whitehall &Ca  one neither would he put the Countrey to Charge

             when there was not an absolute Necessity to call an Assembly

             and therefore would have them consider well of it.

                    July 30th 1694.

          p. The Secretary and Members of the Councill humbly offered

             the Reasons following for calling an Assembly, Vizt

      

                             ffirst

             Councills That by a Proclamation issued by his Exncy the

             Reasons for

             calling an late Governor Copley and Councill, Dated August

             Assembly 25th 1693, it was thought fit for diverse weighty

      

             Reasons then appearing to them to Summon the Assembly
