Lib. H. D. Severall The Petition of Capt Richard Cheshire and two other Masters of ships seting forth their being now be Cleared, in Readiness to sayle and the Expence they lay at, Rejected, therefore humbly prayed the Order of this Board for
their Clearing; To which was answered that the same cannot be complyed withall by reason of an Instruction from their Mats to the Governour here which says, that ships shall not sayle in time of Warr but in ffleets vnder their Mats Convoys, and there being two Men of Warr now in the Countrey appointed for Convoys, who are to Sayle the 13th of Septem ber next; therefore the said Petition is Rejected. Mr Attorney Genll lays before the Board the following Representation Vizt To his Exncy ffrancis Nicholson Esqr Capt Genll and Governour in Chief and to the Honoble their Mats Councill of Maryland.
Mr Platers George Plater humbly Representeth that Coll Re p re se nta tjon about Nehemiah Blackiston late Collector of Potomock Coll Blakis- District having in his lifetime taken severall Navi ton gation Bonds and Bills of Exchange for the satisfac
tion & paymt of their Mats Duties & Impositions arising & becoming due to their Mats for the support of Governmt within the aforesd District, And whereas Orders having been heretofore Granted by the Honoble the President and Councill the then Governmt of the Province that the Widow & Admin istratrix of the said Nehemiah Blakiston decd should deliver vnto the said George Plater all Bonds &Ca which were in her possession at the time of the death of her deceased husband relating to & belonging to that Office, the which Order has not as yet been complyed with, the Widow and Admrx pre tending her self a stranger to those Affairs; The said George Plater therefore humbly desires your Exncies Consideration thereof and that further Ordr be made therein, And that all the Bonds, Certificates & Papers may be speedily delivered in they being of great Import to their Mats Service which is humbly Recommended to your Exncies consideration by Yor Exncies most obedient Servt
George Plater Ordered that (as Attorney Genll) he take care to see the same prosecuted according to Law; And that as the Kings p. Receiver he take care of what shall belong to the King. Ordr for It being Represented to his Exncy that the Bodies interring the bodies of of the late Governour Copley and his Lady deceased
the late lye still Uninterred at the Great house and consider Copley and ing it was expected some Order should have been his Lady received ere this time for Conveying the same by
Whitehall some Mann of Warr or other Vessell for England, but there
