An Act Impowring Comission^rs of each respective County
to purchase lands for the vse of their respective Courts.

An Act for Reformacon of Jeoffailes in Maryland.
Assented to by his Ma^tys hon^ble Council.

A Bill for Apporconing the publique leavy being also
brought was read the first time & passed.
Brought also a bill for Redressing the publick Credit which
was likewise read & passed first time.
Severall Addresses being also produced & read were well
approved off.
Proposal that what Lres are writt to be sent for England be
signed by the hon^ble S^r Thomas Laurence Baronet Sec^ry on
behalfe of his Ma^tys hon^bLe Council & M^r Speaker in behalfe of
the house of Delegates.

By the house of Delegates June 10^th 1697.

Resolved by this house that Maj^r Hamond & Maj^r Dorsey be
appoynted Trustees to see the State house finished & to Im-
ploy persons to pale in & pave the State house to Tarr the
Roofe & fit vp the severall offices & other conveniencies pro-
posed. The said persons soe Imploy'd to be paid by this
house out of the publick Leavy. And the Gentl^m to be Con-
sidered and rewarded for their paines.

An Act for the nralizacon of Stephen ffrancis & George
Slacomb read and assented to by his Ma^tys hon^ble Council the
Excepcon therein proposed being incerted.
An Act for quieting the differences arrising betweene the
Indians & English in private Controversies Read and assented
to by his Ma^tys hon^ble Council.
Ordered that the hon^bLe Coll Greenberry & Coll Hutchins
returne all the aforemenconed bills together with the propo-
salls & Quaries to be layd before the house to morrow morning.
