The Councill again Sate and were prsent as yesterday,
Brought from the house of Burgesses and Delegates by
Capt Hill, Majr Hamond, Mr Saunders, & Coll: Peirce these
following bills Vizt
An Act for Imposition of four pence p Gallon upon Liquors
imported into this province, Read first time and will pass with
amendm'
An Act for Secureing Severall persons Rights to Town
Land Read first time and passed without alteration.
The said bills were Sent down to the house by the honrble
Coll: Jowles Coll: Addison, Coll: Courts, and Mr Brooks being
instructed to acquaint the house what amendmts in the sd bills
are required.
Sent also by them the house of Burgesses Address to his
Sacred Ma'y being perused here and brought from the house
by the messingers who came with the aforementioned Bills
and. was approved off with this Recommendation that in the
beginning thereof they take notice to congratulate his maty for
his good Success agt the Common Enemie the ffrench.

By the house of Burgesses, Octobr 17th 1695.
The house takeing into Consideration the Message from
yor Exncy & the honrble Counaill Sent on Tuesday last by the
honrble Coll: John Addison touching the Emperor of Piscatta-
way's complaint; desire and intreat your Exncy out of yor
wonted Care for his Ma's Service and the good of this prov-
ince that you would be pleased to Examine into the Same and
give such Ordrs & directions therein as to your Exncy in your
Wisdom shall Seem meet.
