the Strength and ability of this province will afford Consider-
acon being had to our continual! charge of Severall partys of
men and horse which are necessary and now actually in pay
to guard the frontiers of this Province lying equally exposed
to the Attempts of forraign Indians with all other his Matys
Governments on the continent.
2ndly That as to Money according to the former Reporte of
this house to your Excy dated the 16th day of Octob: 1694. That
we are not of Ability to advance in this particular by reason
of the vast charge we have been and still are at, which yett
lye heavy on us and great part undischarged
3rdly That as to the Bill of Exchange in the Letter of their
Matys Honble Councill of New Yorke this house know not
any thing of it.
It appears to be drawn by his late Excy Governor Copley,
but whether for the Service of this province or not, is
unknown to us, nor does any request or consent of the
reprsentative Body of this province appear for the same.
This we humbly reprsent to your Excy as the sense of this
house on the p'misses praying your Excy and Councills Con-
currence herewith.

The house is Adjourned till two of the Clock.

Post Meridiem. The house mett and being ordered to be
called over, were absent Mr Hutchison, Mr Boothby, Colonel
Coursey Mr Pollard and Colo Codd.
Mr Thomas Ennalls added to the Committee of Agriev-
ances.
Mr Speaker Signifies to the house that his Excy recomends
a court of Justice to be erected in each Port and Towne for
the dispatch of Trade. The house thinke fitt to referr the
same to the next Assembly, and the house adjourned untill
to morrow morning at 7 of the Clock.

Tuesday May the 14th 1695.

The house mett and ordered to be called over were
absent, Colonel Coursey, Mr Pollard and Colonel Codd.
Moved in the house that the vote concerning Potomack
River be reassumed, since severall members were yesterday
absent when the said vote passed.
Voted if to be reassumed or not, and carryed in the Affirm-
ative.
