74 Records of Maryland Troops in the Continental Service Ensign Wm. Steuart, marched to Philadelphia Oct., 1776. The officers were commissioned by the Council of Safety Sept. 28th, 1776. A company in Cecil County, enrolled for the Flying Camp, under Capt. James Maxwell, 1st Lt. John Hartshorne, 2nd Lt. William John- stone, Ensign Adam Glascow, commissioned Oct. 3rd and ordered to Philadelphia Oct. 15th, 1776, by the Council of Safety. A company in Frederick County, enrolled for the Flying Camp, under Capt. Andrew Hynes, 1st Lt. Isaac McCrackin, 2nd Lt. Ezekiel Cox, Ensign John Jacobs, commissioned Oct. 12th and ordered to Phila delphia Oct. 15th, 1776, by the Council of Safety. A company in Harford County, the Harford Greens, enrolled for the Flying Camp, under Capt. Francis Holland, 1st Lt. John Carlile, 2nd Lt. William Young, Ensign Robert Morgan, commissioned Oct. 1 5th, 1776, by the Council of Safety. This company marched to Philadelphia Oct. 23rd, 1776. Applications from Col.
