I have ordered Capt Justinian Gerard to appeare with his
Company in Armes on Saturday next the Eighteenth instant
in Notley Hall ffield wherefore you are your Self in person to
repaire thither by the time prefixed, to take a list of their
names, and to cause their Armes belonging to the Magazine
to be all lodged at Notley house to be viewed and fixed up
by my Smith ready for any occasion. You are also on Mon-
day following to visitt Major Boareman and his Company at
the usuall and appointed place of Rendevouz for musters and
traineing he haveing reed: the like ordrs from me to be in a
readiness there to meete you, a list of the men inlisted under
him you are also to take and an Accot of their Armes belonging
also to the Magazine which you must cause to be lodged at
the Majors house to the end and purpose aforesd Whereof
faile not and for soe doeing this shall sufficiently Empower

Thomas Owsley as Agent to and for and in behalf of Coll
Cadwallader Jones of the Collony of Virginia to trade traffick
and deale with any the Nantecoke Indians for Roanoke or
Peake, giveing in barter for the same any European or other
Commodityes whatsoever (powder, shott, and armes onely
excepted) for all wch this shall be his sufficient warrant. Given
