at what time the Sheriff of Csecill County makes return of

an order of this board of the 8th Day of October last to him
directed. The Returne being endorsed on the back side of
the said ordr thus viz.

Then again read and reheard a Petition preferred by the
Inhabitants of Csecill County agt Edward Inglish Sheriff of
the same County viz.

To the Rt honble the Lord Propry of the Province of Maryld &ca
The humble Petition of those persons whose names are
here under Subscribed in the behalf of the major part of the
Inhabitants of Csecil County.
Humbly Sheweth.
That whereas your Lspp was pleased to invest Edward
inglish gentl in the Office of high Sheriff of your County of
Csecil, lookeing upon him as a person deserving that trust,
yett nevertheless contrary to your Ldsps knowledge he doth soe
imperiously and insolently behave himself towards your Ldsps
good people, as causeth greate distraction and Disturbance in
the said County, in the due and legall proceedings of severall
businesses, to the greate aggreviance of the whole County,
but something for your Ldsps inspection may be requisite to be
hinted. The aforesaid Edward Inglish first comeing to his
Office of Sheriff did give the County some satisfaction in
the choice of his under Sheriff which was well approoved
off in the whole County and readily owned and obeyed
