. persons who shall hereafter be found gameing on Sundayes
contrary to this by-law, shall fforfeitt and pay for every such
Offence, the summe of Two hundred pounds of tobacco, and
be putt in the custody of the Constable till the same be payd ;
And that the Magistrates of this City and every of them shall
take care, and see the law against breach of the Sabboth, The
Act of Religion, and other Lawes against curseing sweareing
and drinking be putt in Execution; And Be it also Enacted
and Established that such Magistrate or Magistrates of this

City or any or either of them that shall at any time hereafter
conceale any breach of this Law, committed by any pson or
psons wrsoever; The same being first prooved against such
Magistrate or Magistrates soe concealeing the same; Such
Magistrate or Magistrates shall be fined for every such Offence
the summe of One Thousand pds of Tobacco to be recovered
by way of Execution upon his or their goods or Chattells.
All which ffines and fforfeitures aforesaid to be recovered as
aforesaid shall be disposed of at the discretion of the Mayor
Recordr and Aldermen for the time being
Item. It is further Enacted ordeined & Established by the
Mayo' Record" Aldermen, and Common Councill men aforesd
that the sheriff or Sub-Sheriff of St Maryes County shall and
may Execute all writts and process within this City upon any
pson or psons fforreignors, or others, against whom such precept
shall issue; The said Sheriff or Sub sheriff first giveing notice
thereof to any the Magistrates, or to the Clarke of this City
that the same may be Entred, for which Entry the sd Clark
shall have and receive of the Pll in such case the summe of
Twelve pence Sterl or Twelve pounds of Tobacco as ffee for
the same.
Item: Bee it also Enacted, ordeined and Established that
all ffines already leavyed, and hereafter to be leavyed for any
thing or matter whatsoever, shall be putt into the hands of the
Mayor for the time being, or such Officer as shall be by the
Court appointed for that purpose, to be employed towards
reparation of the Landing, or to such other uses as the Court
shall think fitt
Item. It is also Enacted thought fitt, and Established that
all persons that bring their Servants to the Mayors Court to be
adjudged, shall pay Twelve pence sterling ffee, besides the
Clks ffee which is Two shillings and Six pence sterl
Item It is also thought fitt and convenient to be Enacted,
and Bee it Enacted established and ordeined, that all house
keepers within this City doe by the last day of Novemb: next
ensueing provide to their Chimneys two ladders, One Twenty
four foote, and the o.ther twelve foote in length, under the
penalty of One hundred pounds of tobacco ffine a peice upon
default.
