Imprs It is thought fitt and convenient to be ordeined

Established and Enacted, And it is by the Mayor Recordr
Aldermen & Common Councill men of the said City of St
Maryes Established ordeined and Enacted that all and every
pcell of land that shall at any time hereafter be taken up
within the sd City, the assureance or conveyance thereof shall
be enrolled in the Records of this Court, and shall pay (as a
ffee for the same) One hundred pounds of Tobacco to the
Clerk of the said Court for the time being.
Item. It is also Established Enacted and ordeined, and be
it by the said Mayor Recorder Aldermen and Common Coun-
cill men hereby Established, Enacted and ordeined that the
Clerk of this Court for the time being shall have and receive
the same ffees for all business soe by him done or to be done
accordingly as it is pay'd and allowed to the honble Secrys of
this Province for ffees of the Provinciall Court, the same to be
leavyed and recovered by way of Execution, signed by the
Mayor for the time being.
Item. It was also Enacted, Established and ordeyned that
the Constable of this City for the time being shall have and

be allowed the same ffee for the Execution of his Office, as is
allowed the Sheriff of any County of this Province, by act of
Assembly or otherwise, the same to be recovered by way of
Execution.
Notice being taken by this Court of the greate debauch-
eries and disorders that are committed in this City on Sundays
by severall psons, by drinking gameing, sweareing, and other
like grevious Offences, to the greate dishonor & displeasure of
Almighty God, the breach of the Sabboth and the obstructing
of the good governm' of this City. To prevent which,
Item. It is by the Mayor Record' Aldermen & Common
Councill men, hereby enacted ordeined and appointed that
noe ordinary keeper within this City shall from hence forth
sell, utter, or dispose of by retayle or otherwise upon Sundayes,
Any wine, brandy, Rumm, or other dramms or strong liquors
to any pson or psons w'soever, Travellers strangers and sick
people onely excepted, and to them spareingly and noe more
then shall be thought good for their refreshment) under the
penalty of, Every Ordinary keeper soe Offending to fforfeit
and pay for every such default the summe of Two Thousand
pounds of Tobacco, to be leavyed by the Constable of this
City upon any the goods or Chattells of Every Ordinary
keeper soe Offending.
Item. And it is further by the Community aforesd Ordeined
Established and Enacted, that from henceforth forward, there
shall be noe manner of gameing at Cards, Dice, nine pinns, or
any other Game whatsoever upon Sundayes, And that all
