Ordered that Proclamation issue prohibiting the Exportation
of Corne and provisions out of the Province for the space of
twelve moneths.
Upon a Petition exhibited p severall of the Inhabitants of
Csecil County against Edward Inglish gentl high sheriff of the
same County issued this following ordr viz. vid pet. fo. 286:

Whereas James Stavely, Gideon Gundry, John Willis, Edwd
Pymm, ffrancis Harmer, John Wicks, George Starton, Joseph
Hopkins, William Peerce, John James, John Cox, Richd Nash,
Bartholomew Hendrickson, William Mead, Henry Ripsey,
John Howell, Benjamin Gundry, Edward Swettnam, William
Nowell, Nathaniel Howell, Edward Beck, George Higginbo-
tham, Ebenezer Blackiston, Richard Pullen, Thomas Hawker,
Richard Adames, and Joseph Spernon, all of Caecil County
have by their Petition to his Lspp and Councill this Day pre-
ferred (and whereunto they have subscribed their names)
complained against Edward Inglish high Sheriff of the same
County for his rude imperious and insolent behaviour in his
sd Office illegally proceeding in the Execution thereof to the
greate distraction and disturbance of the Inhabitants of the sd
County as by the said petition and complaint is more at large
sett forth.
Ordered therefore that the sd James Stavely and other the
Complts above named and every of them (all excuses sett
apart) be and personally appeare before his Lspp and Councill
at the City of St Maries in the time of the next Provinciall
Court to make good the charge by them exhibited against
the sd Inglish, and also that the said Inglish be likewise there
personally present to answer and make his Defence thereunto.
Whereof they are not to faile at their perill Dated at the
said City of St Maries the Eighth Day of October in the Sixth
yeare of the Dominion of the Rt honble Charles &ca Annoq

His Lspp orders that Swithen Wells present Clerk of Cecill
County be dismissed from Officiating in the said place and
that the Secry make choice of some other person to officiate
in his stead, vid Millers Dep. fo. 287 & Randalls oath 288 :
