Came Robert Crossman by Kenelm Cheseldine his Attorney
and prayed a Lettr from the honble the Secrys to Majr William
Boareman for the payment of ffour thousand pounds of
tobacco to him the sd Crossman according to an ordr of his
Lsp and Councill of the 29th of Aprill 1684: in favour of him
the said Crossman wch their Honors the Secrys accordingly
caused to be writt (vizt)

Capt Robert Crossman a considerable Creditor to the
Estate of Mr George Manwaring deed: (of whose land you
obteined his Lsps Grant) haveing made his humble address to
his Lsp: and Councill, It was considered that you ought to
satisfie to the said Crossman towards the discharge of his debt
the summe of ffour thousand pounds of tobacco, and we were
thereupon ordered to signifie soe much to you, as hereby wee
doe, desireing you to comply punctually with the result of his
Lsp and Councill aforesaid in paying the aforesaid summe of
ffour thousand pounds of tobacco to the said Crossman or his
ordr in consideration of your said Grant from his Ldsp: this from
Your Loving ffriends
