Philim Murry to keepe Xtina ffort.

Ordered that Cornett Philim Murry late undr Coll George
Talbott at Christina ffort be and he is hereby commanded to
keepe and maintaine the said ffort and pursue therein the
Instructions given him by the said Coll Talbott untill further
ordrs from this board:

Depty Surveyrs ordr cone: them

Coll George Talbott late Surveyor Genll of this Province,
being by meanes of the late unhappy murder of Mr Christo-
pher Rousby disabled from executeing the said Office, & his
DeptJI in the severall Counties of this Province being conse-
quently also uncapacitated to Officiate in their severall places.
It was thereupon ordered that Inquiry be made at the Office
what expedient hath been taken, in the time of vacancy of a
Surveyr Genll and that the same (if any) be now observed
otherwise that the severall Deputy Survey" Commissions be
renewed by the Deputies Govern" for the space of 3 moneths
& soe from time to time, untill further ordrs

Then read & ordered to be entred the severall Depositions
foll (viz:)

Wm Dolberys Depos: cone: Capt Allen.

William Dolbery Mar of the ship Sarum Mrchant of Poole
aged fourty yeares or thereabouts upon oath Examined saith
and Deposeth as followeth viz:
October the 30th last past about 3 mile off from Cedar point
I espied a Ketch, and before I could certainly know that it
was the Kings Ketch, he fired a gunn with a shott, at which I
struck my top sayles, and he sent his boate and commanded
me aboard with my Cocketts and freedom, the which he
examined, and in goeing into Pottuxent River wee pass'd by
a Plymouth man, and he likewise Commanded him on board,
and in a small time he came, he asked him for his Cocketts,
he told him he had been with Major Sewall, and left them

there, he told him that if he would not goe ashoare and fetch
them again, and come and shew them to him, and goe &
cleare with Mr Rousby the Kings Collector he would seize his
shipp, and further saith not

Novemb 2d Being Saturday in the morning Capt: Allen
Comandr of the Ketch sent for me on board the Ketch, and
desired me to goe ashore with his Brother and Mr Rousbys
