Keepers of the Seale to signe Acts of Assembly.

His Lspp did declare that he gave power and Authority to
the honble Coll Henry Darnall, and Coll William Digges his
Keepers of the greate Seale, and they have power and
authority now and hereby Given them from time to time and
at all times hereafter dureing his Lspps absence or untill such
time as his Lsp shall please to Signifye the contrary, they or
either of them surviveing (in case one of them shall decease)
to signe any Temporary Lawes to be passed in any Assembly
which may happen in his Lspps absence as aforesaid, which
Lawes soe signed as aforesaid shall be Esteemed, held, taken,
and stand for good and valid to all Intents and purposes, untill
such time as his Lspp shall think fitt to signifie his Dissent
thereunto. Provided alwaies noe Temporary Act whatsoever
hereafter to be made by a Generall Assembly of this Province
shall Repeale or destroy or be intended or construed to
repeale destroy alter or change any perpetuall Act of Assembly
of this Province without his Lspp speciall Assent thereunto first
had & obteined

Keepers of the Seale & Secrys. to grant Writts of
Assistance &c.


Power and Authority was then also given to the honble Coll
Henry Darnall & Coll William Digges his Lsppi Keepers of the
greate Seale, & to the honble Majr Nicholas Sewall, and John
Darnall Esqr his Lspps Principll Secrys of this Province or any
two of them, and they are now and hereby Authoriz'd and
Empowered, and also by his Lspp Commanded upon the
Instance and request of his Majties Collector here within this
Province or any other pson or psons thereunto lawfully
Authorised & sueing for the same to grant writts of assistance
and be otherwise to their skill and power aideing & assisting
to the said Collector or other pson or psons as aforesaid, ffor
the Seizure of any Shipp or Vessell within the bounds of this
Province upon breach of any Act of Parliamt of England all
which writts of Assistance or other precept of the said Keepers
& Secrys tending to the service aforesaid to be observed
obeyed, & executed in as full and ample manner and as effec-
tually to all Intents & purposes, as if immediately granted by
his Lspp, or that himself were actually prsent at the doing
thereof
His Lspp also appointed and constituted the honble Coll
Henry Darnall to be the Receiver gentt & Collector of all his
Lsps Revenues within this Province, according to the foll
