My humble duty & Service to my Lady.
His Ldspp acquaints this board that he had according to Coll
Lloyds request Empowered him to send for the neighbouring
Indians and give them such satisfaction from the acknowl-
edgmt of the wounded Indian as is expressed in the Letter and
also had signified to him his Lspps approbation of his proceed-
ings soe farr in this affaire which is also approoved by this
board.
Ordered that Proclamation issue prohibiting the selling
giveing or disposeing of to any Indians, whatsoever any
drams or other strong liquors whilest they are at or about the
English plantations under paine of incurring his Lspps heavy
displeasure.
Ordered also that Proclama issue prohibiting the exporta-
tion of Indian Corne or Wheate under the like paine of incur-
ring his Lspps heavy displeasure.

By the Lord Propry a Proclamation
Whereas the giveing selling or disposeing of to the Indians
useing or frequenting the English plantations within this Pro-
vince, Brandy, Rumm and other strong liquors in such Quan-
titys as to render them drunk and mad, hath oftentimes
prooved and hereafter may be of very fatall Consequence to
this Province, the masters or Owners of such liquors not onely
createing to themselves thereby their owne trouble and dis-
turbance with the hazard of their owne lives, but also endang-
ering bringing upon the Province a chargeable and expensive
Warr in case of any murder insolency or mischiefe committed
or done by such Indians drunk and mad as aforesaid; Which
to prevent for the tyme to come, and to Establish as much as
may be the future peace and tranquility of this Province with
