take out Cofnissions The same to be incerted in the Condicons

Comissions in June Court next (except Sumerset County for
which Coll Stevens Engaging to take sufficient security It is
Ordered That Cofnission for ffrancis Jenkins to be sheriffe of
that County be delivered to Coll Stevens.

Maryld ss:
fforasmuch as the takeing up of land by R^ts within this our
Province of Maryl^d hath prooved not onely grevious & bur-
thensome to the Inhabitants of this our s^d Province as well for
want of such R^ts upon their occasions as for paying for the
same extravagant & extortious rates when to be pcured but
also very injurious and prejudiciall to our Self by undue and
