County one, And att the Court house in Somrsett County one
Wee doe therefore hereby impower & authorize our deare
Cousin Wm Calvert Esqr our Secry of our said Province to
grant lycence or lycences to such person or persons as shall
undertake to keep ordinary as aforesaid att the said severall
& respective places & within the Countyes abovesaid The
said Ordinary keepers in the Citty of St Maryes paying
yearely to our said Cousin the sume of two thousand pounds
of tobacco each person And all other the Ordinary keepers
or such as shall keep Ordinary att the places abovesaid the
sume of twelve hundred pds of tobacco yearely each person
And that the respective Ordinary keepers doe & shall pay for
their severall & respective lycences yearely to our said Cousin
the sume of twenty shillings sterl, & to his Clerke five shillings
sterl for their & every of their Lycences to keep Ordinary
And further we doe hereby authorize & impower our said
Cousin to ask demand receive & take not only the abovesaid

quantityes of tobacco so do or to be due from the Ordinary
Keepers, but also ask demand receive & take of all & every
of the Attorneys now Practitioners in our Provinciall Court
(our Attorney Genll excepted) & which hereafter shall be
admitted Attorneys in our said Court the sume of twelve
hundred pounds of tobacco yearely each person And upon
default of paymt of the severall & respective quantityes of
tobacco so to be paid by the said Ordinary keepers as afore-
said, that itt shall & may be lawfull for our said Cousin to
recall such Lycence or Lycences so by him granted or to be
granted to such Ordinary keeper or Ordinary keepers as
abovesaid And for default of payment of the severall &
respective quantityes of tobacco so to be paid by the said
Attorneys or practitioners in our said Provinciall Court
(except before excepted) as abovesaid That the said Attor-
neys shall not be admitted to plead or prosecute any suite or
suites within our said Court And if hereafter itt shall seem
meet to us or our Lievtt or Lievtts & Councell of our said
Province to admitt of any other or more Ordinaryes to be
kept att any other place or places within our said Province
That then such Ordinary keeper or Ordinary keepers shall
have such Lycence or Lycences from our said Cousin for the
same, paying unto our said Cousin such sumes of tobacco &
money yearely as abovesaid viz: if in the Citty the sume of
two thousand pds of tob & five & twenty shillings p Annum
each person If in any other place the sume of twelve hun-
dred pounds of tobacco & five & twenty shillings p annum
each person so to be lycenced To have & to hold the above-
said profitts benifitts & advantages (except above excepted)
to him our said Cousin dureing our pleasure. Given under
