oathes of good and lawfull men of your County aforesaid of
all manner of ffelonyes, witchcrafts, Inchantmts Sorcerys,
Magick Arts, Trespasses, fforestallings Ingrosseings and
extortions whatsoever and of all and singular other misdeeds
and Offences of which Justices of the peace in England may
or ought lawfully to Enquire by whomsoever or whensoever
done or perpetrated or which hereafter shall happen to be
done or perpetrated in the County aforesaid against the
Lawes and orders of our sd Province provided you proceed
not in any of the cases aforesaid to take life or member, but
that in every such Case you send the prisoners with their
Indictment and the whole matter depending before you to
the next Provll Court to be holden for our said Province when-
soever or wheresoever to be holden there to be tryed. And
further we doe hereby Authorise you to issue writts processes
Arrests and Attachmts to hold plea of Oyer and Terminer and
after judgement Execution to Award in all causes civill
whither in Actions reall or psonall according to the Lawes
Orders and reasonable Customs made & vsed in our said
Province of Maryland, in which Causes civill soe to be tryed
we Doe constitute ordeine and appoint you William Coursey,
Philemon Lloyd, Edward Mann, Peter Sayer, and William
Hemsley to be Judges as aforesaid (unless some one of our
Councill be then in Court) And therefore we command you
that you Diligently intend the keepeing of the peace Lawes
and orders and all and singular other the premisses and at
certain Daies appointed according to Act of Assembly in
that case provided, And such places wch you or any four or
more of you as aforesaid shall in that behalf appoint Yee
make Enquiries upon the premisses and performe and ffullfill
the same in forme aforesaid Doeing therein that which to

Justice appertaineth according to the Lawes orders and
reasonable customes of our said Province saveing to us the
Amerciamts and other thinges thereof to us belonging And
therefore we command the sheriff of the said County of
Talbott by vertue of these presents that at the Dayes and
places aforesaid which you or any such four or more of you as
aforesaid shall make knowne to him to give his attendance
on you, and if need require to cause to come before you or
any such four or more of you as aforesaid such and soe many
good and lawfull men of your County by whom the truth in
the premisses may the better be knowne and enquired off,
and further you shall cause to be brought before you at the
said Dayes and place the writts precepts process and Indict-
ments to your Court and Jurisdiction belonging that the
same may be inspected and by a due course Determined as
aforesd Given at Our City of St Maries under the greate
