aforesaid Justices as president in the heareing and determine-
ing all or any the aforesd Actions, and that such one of the
Justices of our Provll Court resideing as aforesd and three of
the aforesaid Justices to be sufficient for the holding Courts
for the Determineing the causes & Actions aforesaid Any
thing aforesd to the contrary notwithstanding. In Testimony
whereof we have caused the greate Seale of our sd Province
of Maryland to these prsents to be affixed the thirteenth Day
of December in the sixth yeare of our Dominion &ca Annoq

Charles Absolute Lord and Propry of the Provinces of
Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &ca To our
trusty & well beloved Coll William Burges and Major Samuel
Lane gentl greeteing. Whereas we have by our Comission
under the greate Seale of this our sd Province of Maryld beare-
ing equall date with this, nominate, constitute, and appointed
you the said William Burges, and Samuel Lane, and the
severall other psons in the sd Comon named, to be Comissionrs
and Justices for the tryall of Causes in our County of Anne
Arrundell with full power and Authority to keepe our County
Court at such dayes and times as by the law in that case made
is provided. Now Know yee that wee reposeing greate trust
and confidence in your ffidelityes and provident circumspec-
tions have Assigned you and by vertue of these presents doe
give unto you full power & Authority (you the said Samuel
Lane haveing first taken the vsuall Oath of Comission and
Justice of the peace of our sd County upon the holy Evange-
lists, wch Oath wee doe hereby Empower and Authorise you
the said William Burges duely to Administer, And you the
said Samuel Lane haveing recd: & taken the said Oath, Wee
doe hereby Authorise and empower you to Administer the
