the said Boreman by Comission from his Lopp and to divide
equally in number. Major Boreman to have the first Choice,
and all the Souldiers under the Comand of Capt Doyne are to
yeild their due Obedience to him accordingly.
Ordered that there be a new Comission for the peace in
Dorchester County granted.
The Deputy Governour and Councell doe appoint the next
Councell day at Mr Murtyes upon thursday sevenight next
being the 17th of this instant AugtMaryland sss. At a Counsell held at Waterford at the house of
Stephen Murty at New-Towne thursday the 17th of August
1676.

Ordered that Capt John Peerce (for the Safety of his Lopps
house at Mattapenny) have under his Comand twelve horse-
men fowre & twenty ffootmen two Sergeants and a Corporall.
Ordered that Proclamation be made by the Sheriff of St
Maries County That if any Voluntiers will serve his Lopp in
Guarding his house at Mattapany Sewell that they imediately
list themselves under Capt John Peerce, untill further Order
from the Deputy Govrnour and Counsell.
Ordered that a Comission issue to Major Henry Jowles to
take under his Comand the Company formerly belonging to
Capt John Cobreath.
Ordered that all the Troopers or Comanders of horse Con-
sist of forty five men besides Officers each Troop and no
more, excepting Capt Darnalls Troop which is to consist of
fifty men besides Officers to be raised Out of the ffoot Com-
pany in Calvert County.
Whereas the Deputy Leivtenant and Counsell are informed
that Capt Samuel Bourne hath Seventy or eighty men in his
Troop, they doe Order that he make Choice of forty five men
besides his Leivtenant Cornett & Quarter-Master, and that
the rest be under the ffoot Officers at the Clifts.
Ordered that Capt John Aliens Troop continue ranging
according to former Order.
Ordered that Capt John Peerce be allowed Out of the pub-
lique for provisions and drinke for the Souldiers under his
Comand, as long as they shall be under his Comand at Mat-
tapeny Sewall nine pounds of tobacco p day for each Souldier
