Lower house Aprill the 18th 1684:
Voted necessary that a Towne be sett forth at the Sea side
as is desired by this peticon and the place appointed by this
to be betweene the goeing in of Selbys and Cornelius Innis
his land,
but for the Towne at Barrows landing voted
not to be remooved nor altered.

Lower house Aprill the 18th 1684
Upon reading the Peticon of the Inhabitants of Somrsett
County for a Towne at the sea board side, Ordered that a
Towne be appointed between the goeing into Selbys bay and
Cornelius Innis his land at Assateague bay at the discretion of
the Comissionrs but the Towne at Barrowes landing not to be
remooved.
