you with the sail Cloth, be pleased to send down when you
want it.

Sir. We are a good deal hurried to day in answering Let-
ters by the post, and in dispatching one of our Vessels. We
shall give you full opportunity to renew your Contract on
terms perhaps of more advantage than that of the last year.
Should it not be renewed we will take your Beef and Pork at
such a price as you shall be no looser by.

Gentlemen. The enclosed Letters were forwarded to us by
Mr Chase, we beg that you will pay to Capt. Pote thirteen
Hundred and twenty pounds currency, with 10 p ct. Interest
thereon, and even to pay paper Dollars at 7/6 rather than let
the order be returned, and charge the same to Acct of this
State, which shall be a sett off against Part of the money here-
tofore advanced to you for Arms and Ammunition.

Gentlemen. Since we wrote you by last Friday's Post,
Capt. Conway has arrived from Martinique with a valuable
Cargoe, consisting of one thousand bushels of Salt, some
Linens, Woolens, Canvas, small arms Gun-powder and flints,
to the value of nearly four thousand pounds Eustatia Cur-
rency, and some valuable Cargoes for others on freight, we
