100 lbs. of Tallow or what they can git and send down by the
vesell that brought the Guns. I am

Baltimore November 30th 1776.
Sirs.
I have a large parcell of Powder, that Capt. Martin brought
in that he says is for Philadelphia Pleas let me now what I
am to doe with it I shall have all the flowr for Capt. Martin
deliver'd this day from the mills I would bee glad to now if I
ought to continue the mills grinding for mee, — as it is some
disadvantage to let them ingage with other people there is
severall Prise vesells here, will you want any of them, the
Prise Schooner has sum rum on bord I will give ios pr Gallon
for it all, if you can or will sell it. Pleas write mee on this
matter, the powder in particular,

Sirs. Inclosed you have a charg which I have paid for 2
hund. on bord the 92. Pleas let the Capt. have it.
Capt. Rogers, I have paid for Mikell Mackenier £1. 4. 10.
Pleas to charge him with it and you will oblige mee he was
taken by the constable, from
Novr 29, 1776. Jesse Hollingsworth.

I paid for Mikell Mackenier 28 of the month £2. 12. o for
his Bord. So that I have paid for him in the whole £3. 16. 10.

Sirs. Capt. John Garey is in want of a Mate as he informs
Mee, there is a Good looking yongue man that came Mate of a
Prise Skooner taken by Capt Cook that is willing to Emedetly
Enter with Capt Garey as Mate But Capt. Cook will not
Releas him without your Orders so would have you write him
I have done all in my Power to Get him But it Don' seem satis-
factory to Capt Cook as I have wrote you so often this day I
ad No More from your Humble Servant
November 30 1776 Jesse Hollingsworth

hee has a Boy Prentis to him Sellf which hee expects with
him Pleas Name it to Capt Cook. I have aplied to Capt
Cook in Person hee says hee must have your Instructions
has not seen Mr Nicollson the Guge of the Court of Admal-
