[Council to Commissioners.]
Gentn
We have sent by King two bundles of Blank Commissions
which you will be pleased to make use of or return to Con-
gress, as circumstances may require
Whether you are to proceed to Camp or return to Mary-
land depends upon the pleasure of Congress. It is our wish
& hope that they will relax or in some measure recede from
the resolution communicated to our convention and that you
will receive from Congress the necessary credentials for the
completion of your commission, which have already been
delayed too long, the public service requiring on this occasion
the greatest union & utmost dispatch. We wish you health
& success in the business you have undertaken.
