stores may cause a disappointment to some other company I
have now but thirteen blankets remaining and about sixty
yards of linen. There could have been new Kersey blankets
bought for twenty five shillings a piece, but being above my
limitation none of them was had. I have not yet mett with
the gentleman that assisted me, to enable me to render the

Council met. Present as on yesterday.
Ordered That Western shore Treasurer pay to Melcher
Keener by order and for use of Abraham Vanbibber one hun-
dred and sixty Dollars, for his Draft to Lemuel Cormick.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Melcher Keener for
use of Jesse Hollingsworth five hundred Pounds.
Ordered That commissary of Provisions supply Captain
Martin with what rations he may want for the use of the Brig-
antine Friendship's Crew.
Copy of Letter No 240 was sent to General Smallwood.
No 241 to Captn A. Lawson Smith No 242 to Benj. Rumsey
& others No 243 to Saml Duvall No 244 to Captn Fredk
Teems.
Ordered That Western shore Treasurer pay to Melcher
Keener for use of Englehard Yeiser two hundred & ninety
Pounds, nine shillings & eight Pence.
Ordered That Western shore Treasurer pay to Robert
Peters, for use of John Yost six Pounds, thirteen shillings &
six Pence.
Adjourned 'till next Day 10 o'Clock.

[Council to Smallwood.]
Sir.
We are obliged by your favor of the 17th and are sensible of
the distresses you and those under your command must have
been in and suffered by the repeated shiftings of the Conti-
nental Camp. So soon as it is in your power we again beg
that you will furnish us with an Account of the Accoutrements
&c. carried out of this Province agreable to our request in the
letters you have referred to, that we may debit the Continent
with the whole credit it for what may be returned. We may
have granted General Beall leave to take the Fifer out of
Captain Bracco's company, but we do not recollect it, and we
hope he will settle the affair to your and Mr Bracco's satisfac-
tion. Your sending of your Books and Paper to Philadelphia
