Council met. Present as on yesterday.
Ordered That Western shore Treasurer pay to John Little
forty shillings for a musquet.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Matthew Patton three
Pounds, ten shillings for Amt Acct
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Erasmus Uhler fifty six
Pounds, two shillings & six Pence for Amt Acct
Ordered That Chs Wallace Paymaster advance to Jesse
Selby of Captn Watkins's Company, one month's Pay.
Ordered That Western shore Treasurer pay to Richd Bryan
thirty shillings for going Express.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Nichs Thomas twenty
two Pounds, four shillings for 27 Day's Attendance & itinerant
Charges.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Colo James Murray
eight Pounds, one shilling for Amt Acct
Josias Hall of Harford County return to the Council of

Safety one hundred & sivty Dollars with his warrant, he being

'appointed third Lieutt of the rifle Compy to be raised in said
County, which said sum the Western shore Treasurer
acknowledges to have received.
Ordered That Western shore Treasurer pay to David Evans
six Pounds, twelve shillings & eight Pence for Amt Acct
Adjourned 'till next Day 10 o'Clk.

Baltimore October 16'h 1776.
Gentlemen: As I expect to launce one of the Row Galleys
in about 18 days, I should be oblidg'd to ye to let me know per
Bearer Mr John Barry how the Row Gallies should be masted
and rigged, or whether you'll leave that matter to Capt Nichol-
son & self. Please alsoe to let me know who is to be the Sail
maker and who is to find the Cordage. Who am Gent
Yr most obedt Hble Servant,
George Wells.

P. S. Please to let me know what weight of mettel they
are to carry.
