Saturday Ocf 5th 1776.

Council met. Present as on yesterday.
Ordered That Western shore Treasurer pay to Stephen
Steuard one thousand, five hundred Pounds, to be repaid in
Continental money, either at Philadelphia or at this Place.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Wm Thomas twenty
four Pounds, for attending as Adjutant to the 25th Battalion
of militia.
Copy of Letter No 200 was sent to Cravath & Dugan.
Ordered That Majr William Horsey be required to pur-
chase twenty more Hogsheads Tobo provided he can send it
up in the Schooner Friendship & that she be not delayed for it.
Ordered That W: Shore Treasurer pay to Philis Waterman
fifteen shillings for attending Hospital.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Eliza Sharpe forty
shillings for ditto.
Ordered That the Paymaster advance to Wm Williams of
Captn Gunby's Company one month's Pay.
Ordered That Commissary deliver to Nichs Newland of
Captn Burtries Compy six yards of Linen.
Copy of Letter No 201 was sent to Mr Jesse Hollingsworth.
Copy of Letter No 202 was sent to Lux & Bowley.
Ordered That Captn Fulford be requested to take into his
company such of the Flying Camp, who have and shall be
discharged from the Hospital & that they do duty with his
compy regularly & be under his command.
Ordered That W: Shore Treasurer pay to Eliza Hunter four
shillings & three Pence for Ferriage of Genl Lee.
Adjourned 'till next Day 10 o'Clk.

Gentn If the Schooner 92 is still unengaged, we shall be
glad to See you immediately, on the subject of chartering or
purchasing her.

Mr Jesse Hollingsworth
Sir.
We desire you will purchase and have ready- as soon as
possible on Account of this Province nine hundred Barrels of
superfine Flour & twenty hhds Tobo. The Tobo and three
hundred and fifty Barrels of the Flower must be put on board
the schooner Resolution and the remainder of her cargo must
