Schoolfield 2 Lt & Brittain Powel, Ensign of a Company in
the 17th Battalion of Militia.
Also to Ballard Bozman appd 2 Lt & James Curtis Ensign
of a Compy in ditto.
Also to Wm Waller appointed Ensign of a Compy in ditto.
Also to Benjamin Schoolfield appd Captain, Thomas Jones
1st Lt & Samuel Dixon 2 Lt of a Compy in ditto.
Copy of Letter No 184 was sent to Colonel Joseph Simm.
Ordered That Western shore Treasurer pay to Levin Cov-
ington two hundred & twenty five Pounds for Bounty for a
Compy of Flying Camp militia.
Warrt issued to him for the Purpose aforesaid.
Ordered That Saml Messersmith be requested to deliver to
Captain Brooke all the Guns in his Possession belonging to
the public after repairing the same.
Adjourned 'till next day 10 oClock.

Colo Joseph Simm, Prince George's County
Sir
We send by Capt L. Covington the Bounty money for
raising a Company of Militia in yr County. We do not send
the month's pay advance because we think the Company
ought to be in some forwardness before that money is issued.
Armes are to be borrowed or impressed; you are to have a
Meeting of Field Officers and Captains on Monday next, by
order of Convention; when the recommendations are com-
pleted, We Will send down warrants & money for Guns on

having the appraisement returned.

and Job Todd Ensign in Capt Henry Lake's company, of my
Battalion, being very exceptionable, I beg you will be pleased
to appoint a Court martial, to enquire into their Conduct.
