Tuesday, September 17th 1776

Council met. Present as on yesterday
Ordered That Western shore Treasurer pay to Isaac Van-
bebber for use of Seth Paddock twenty five Pounds, ten shil-
lings for Amt of Acct
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to John Leypold two
Pounds, sixteen shillings for Express.
Ordered That Western shore Treasurer pay to Captn
Henry Sheaff sixty Pounds, twelve shillings & two Pence for
Militia duty.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Captn Cox sixty nine
Pounds, ten shillings & two Pence for Militia duty.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Captn John Smith
thirty nine Pounds, five shillings & ten Pence for militia duty.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Joseph Robson sixteen
Pounds, eight shillings and eight Pence for militia duty.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Richd Sprigg forty
Pounds, twelve shillings and six Pence, fur Cannon.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Francis Sanderson
four hunded and twenty eight Pounds, thirteen shillings for
Copper Camp-Kettles.
Copy of Letter No 182 was sent to Robt Alexander Esqr
Ordered That Western shore Treasurer pay to Colo Richd
Barnes one hundred and forty five Pounds, seventeen shillings
& three Pence for militia duty.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Jas West five Pounds
for Boatage.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Dr John Parnham forty
two shillings & three pence for Militia utensils.
Ordered That Western shore Treasurer pay to Basil Brooke
six Pounds, eight shillings for Militia duty.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Captn Thomas Wat-
kins six hundred Pounds, for enlisting a Flying Camp Compy
Warrts issd to Thomas Watkins appd Captn
Levin Lawrence 1 Lt
Thos Todd 2d Lt
John Ijams jr Ensign of
a Compy for Flying Camp.
Ordered That Dr Richd Tootle be requested to remove any
Soldiers of Infectious Disorders, to be nursed in private
Houses.
Ordered That Western shore Treasurer pay to Dr James
Brehm twelve Pounds, nineteen shillings for Amt of Acct
Ordered That Eastern shore Treasurer pay to Wm Traverse
three hundred and fifty seven Pounds, six shillings & ten
Pence for Militia duty.
