as also two Bayonets put to two Guns Colo Carvel Hall put
into my hands to repair and some charges for the repairs. I
also send in the box a gun sent by Mr Gabriel Christie, and
one other Mr John Hall got from some other person, all
which hope will get safe to hand.
I will continue to make the Bayonets, but the fitting these
muskets and repairing some other odd guns from our neigh-
bours has kept my man (who is but slow) employ'd.

Virginia Northumberland County Aug 21st 1776.
Gentlemen: I have delivered to Mr Thos Walker at the
request of Capt Nicholson, four hundred and thirty two
half barrels of Gun-powder, eighteen chests of Arms, loose
muskets and twenty pieces of oznaberg. Mr Walker tells me
he received only 431 half barrels of powder, the persons I
entrusted to deliver it are certain they delivered the whole
quantity. 1 hope it will be tound right. As soon as I was
