his Company as first Lieutenant, he therefore wou'd be glad
to receive his commission together with commissions for his
several officers who rise of course.

receive the money for Capt Bayne who declines going up and

[Grahame to Harwood.]

Lower Maryborough 7th Aug. 1776.
Dear Sir. Inclosed is Capt J. A. Thomas' certificate of an
agreement made with John David for the hire of his Schooner
to carry his company to Annapolis and John David's account
of the time he was on that service proved. You will please
apply to the Council of Safety for an order on the Treasury
for the money and I will take it when I come up next week.
Our people have put it upon me to serve them once more, and
I must accordingly give my attendance at the next Convention.
My colleagues are Benjamin Mackall of Hollowing Point,
Colo Fitzhugh and John Mackall. I am sorry to hear that Mr
Johnson is dropped by Anne Arundell County it would have
given me pleasure to have served with him and as I have
heard nothing of the City Election am still in hopes of his
being elected for that. I am respectfully Dear Sir,
Your very humble Servant
Charles Grahame

Gent. I agreed to pay to Capt John David thirty shillings
a day for his vessel to carry my company to Annapolis.
