         Whereas mr Thomas Ringhold Commenced an Action of

       Defamacon against Capt Joseph Weekes at the County Court

       of Kent, and time Said Week-es having Endeavoured to make

       Good his Charge against time Said Ringholdh, as by Severall

       Depositions taken for that purpose, do appeare, And after

       Long debate in that Court in time Cause, time Said Weekes by

       his Attorney Craved an appeale to this Court, which was

       Granted and ordered that time Said Week-es Should put in Se-

       curitie for his appearance at this Court and to pay Double

       Damages in Case he the Said Weekes Should be Cast in the

       Suit, which when demanded of him lie refused to doe, and

       hath micither by himself or Attormmey made his appearance at

       this Court, The Court doth therefore order that time Sherifle of

       Kent Shall take time Said Week-es into Safe keeping, untill he

       give Bond with Securitie for his appearance at time next Pro-

       vinciall Court lucid at Providence the 10th of Aprill next, to

       amiswer the Suit of the Said Ringhold, and for his Contempt

       to time Sd order of Appeale time Said Week-es to pay 500 l of

       Tobacco in way of fine to publicke use
