          Court and Testamentary Business, 1656. 459

      

      

      

       Continued in the possession of the Said Hogshead of Tobacco Liber B.

       and the Said Payd to pay Court Charges.

      

        Nonsuit is Granted unto Martin Kirke defendt against

       ffrancis Brooke pift with Charges.

      

       John Grammer pift Whereas John Grammer arrested to this

       Iohn ifelton defendtf Court John ifeiton for a debt of 482 l of To-

       bacco and Caske, It is ordered with Consent of both parties,

       Iohn ifelton paying unto the Said Grammer 241 l of Tob and

       Cask be discharged of the whole debt and the Said Grammer

       and ifelton to pay Equall Changes Expended in the Suit.

      

        Nonsuit is Granted to Henry Keene defendt against Cor-

       nelius Abramson plantiffe with Court Charges

      

        Whereas mr Symon Overzee Merchant hath Peticon'd this

       Court for 50891 of Tobacco and Caske out of the Estate of

       Capt John Barriffe deceased, And having made his demand

       appeare to be due, The Court doth therefore Order that Capt

       William Evens Administrator of the Said Barriffe's Estate Shall

       Satisfie the Said debt with which the Said Overzee doth

       acknowledge himself Satisfied vizt that the Said Evens Shall

       Satisfie 2720' of Tobacco & Caske being So much as the Said

       Estate is prized at to be paid by the last of december next and

       the remainder being 2369 to be paid in Bills that is to Say a

       Bill of Phillip Lands 160 l of Tob, a bill of Waiter Pakes and

       Iohn Cornelius of 2000 l of Tobacco a Bill of Edmund Lindseys

       of eight hundred which the Said Overzee having Received he

       is to be accomptable to the Administrator for the overplus

       which is 5911 Tob.

      

      

            At a Court held at Putuxent for the Province of

            Maryland the 23th of September 1656

                        Mr Edward Lloyd

      

        Martin Kirke Sworne and Examined Saith, That Henry p. 207

       Potter desired this Deponent to View the house and fence that

       he bought of mr John Hatch and our Judgment was that he

       had as Good build a new house as mend that and the fence

       was all down and was not Sufficient, And further Saith not
