At a Court held at St) Present The Governor Robert Brookes Esqr Maries the 2d day of Mr Thomas Hatton September 1650 fforasmuch as it is credibly reported that Capt Giles Brent hath heretofore done or attempted to doe divers things priu- diciall to the right hoble the Lo: Propry of this Province and his vndoubted right and title therevnto and contrary to the trust reposed in him by his said Lopp It is therefore ordered that Georg Manners bee his Lopps Attorney to make diligent Inquisicon touching his the said Capt Brent's comportmt towards his Lopp and his aforesaid right and title, and to somon what witnesses hee shall thinke fitt to bee examined touching the prmisses on his Lopps behaulf, and in the Provinciall Court there to psecute against him the said Capt Brent for any offence or misdemeanor in Words Accons or Attempts to the priudice of his said Lopp in his undoubted right and title to this Province and to vse all lawful1 meanes for the discovery of the same

W Secretary of October 1650 John Sturman pite The Compltes suite is to bee releived Tho: Copley Esqr deft against the deft for a Heifer of 2 yeare old wch the deft by a Note vnder his hand dated 26o August 1646 pmised to deliver to Robert Sedgrave whensoever bee should bring him certaine Bookes in the said note menconed Wch bookes had beene brought and delivered accordingly And Sedgrave had assigned the said Heifer to the plte by an Assignemt vnder his hand of the 10th of Octob 1648.
