         Liber A. Memorand that I Marks Pheypo doe hereby constitute my

          p. 347 loving ifreind Nicholas Keeting my true & lawfull Attorney for

        

              mee and in my name to demand & receive all debts or

              Accompts due vnto mee by specialty within this Province or

              otherwise and further to acquitt sue release imprison any per-

              son or persons with as full power as to any Attorney may

              belong, and what my said Attorney shall performe hereln

              shalbe good in lawe Witnes my hand Anno dni 1650 June

              the 4th

              Willm Hardwich plte The pite sues to bee releived against the

              Walter Beane deft J deft for great Costs and charges by him

              sustayned in a suite formerly depending betweene him the

              said nowe Complte pite and Capt John Price defendt by reason

              of an imperfect Verdict brought in by the nowe defendt then

              foreman of the Jury in that Cause as hee alleadgeth. To this

              the defendt alleadgeth that the Verdict was pfect and that the

              Jurors all agreed thereto.

                Barnaby Jackson one of the Jurors in open Court maketh

              oath that after the Verdict nowe in question was brought in by

              the Jury (the same day as this depont taketh it) Willm Stiles

              one of the then Jury in this Cause expressed in this deponts

              hearing that after hee heard the greater part of the Jury give

              theire assent to the verdict then to bee by them brought in,

              bee gave his consent thereto also: or to that effect

                Vppon the debating of this Cause, Willm Hardwich the pite

              vsed some opprobious words to Tho: Greene Esqr prsent in

              Court viz: That when the Cause formerly came to hearing bee

              the said Mr Greene his Lopps then Governor, put him the

              Complte in prison to take him off from psecucon of his Cause,

              or to that effect. wherevppon the Court fined him 300 l of Tob.

              & Caske to his Lopp and imprisonmt during the Governors

              pleasure. But bee expressing himself very sorry for his Offence

              and asking Mr Greene forgivenes in open Court The Governor

              discharged him of the Imprisonmt and Mr Greene remitted the

              offen€e soe farr as lay in him, and the Governor vppon his

              submission remitted the ffine

                The further hearing of this Cause is respited till the next

              Court and the plte may then pceede if hee thinke fitt

        

        

              Edward Tompson plte The plte on the behaulf & as Guar-

              Mrs Marg: Erent dett dian of the Children of Thomas I3uttler

              vppon the back of   deceased sues to bee releived against

              the execucdn agt Mrs     the deft Executrix to Leonard Calvert

              Margaret Brent in this

              cause is indorsed as     Esq deceased for two Cowe Calves

              followeth Viz,payable three yeares since to the said
