Sir
I have short opportunity of acknowledging yrs the 28th of
Jany with yours to his Lordp delivered he is extreamly well
pleased with yr conduct & Acc£ in proclamg his present Majesty's
succession to his Realms, in the Province of Maryland; as well
as yr compliance to the Lords of his Majesty's privy Council,
their Letr cong to him with the Form of proclamation &ca his
Lordp hopes no
present the king. With regard to Mr Pownall Secy of the
Board of Trade & Plantation, yr transmission of the Printed
Copies of the Acts of Assembly, his Lordp thinks the reluc-
tance the Lo: H. has agt the expence to be provided for by Act
of Assembly is highly unreasonable & injurious to the public
Utility, of real importance in Justice due to all Persons in the
province as well as in Case of Appeal to his Majesty in Council
or to the Lords Comissioners of his Majestys Board of Trade,
That so useful & beneficial advantage may no longer be detri-
mental & as encouragemt
Mr. Bacon for compiling the provincial Acts of Assembly
now in force, wch by yr Advise he has collected & compared
with the Records, in consideration thereof & as a Subsidary
Aid to the Press for Printing & binding them complete, inclu-
