Fenwick's Island a Cross the Peninsula to the Bay of Chesa-
peak jointly with the Pensilvania Compy it must be Authenti-
cated, & please to make dispatch of it. The Affair bet: my
Lord & Messrs Penns is yet unsettl'd, Mr Paris their Agent &
Law Sollr embarasses, that binder's dispatch. Here is talk'd
of various Circumstances towards propositions for better regu-
lating Affairs in America to His Majesty's Service, but as their
is no Certainty of such propositions I can't at present write
any truth concerning.

giving no content, Maj: Genl Abercrombie appoint'd in his
stead & Colo Amherst to Comd the Expedition to Louisbourg.
Genl Web ordered home disliked, & speak of Brigadier Genls
to be made, who are to Comd seperately in America the Force
wh is sd will be greatly augmtd by Provincial Forces, raised on
a new Plan; 'tis hoped to better End, than the Force has
yeilded hence wch like Beef stake has been sent hot & hot but
to little purpose, English Beef having greatly falen as to Sub-
stance & Heart.
By Expresses Extracts from the London Gazette Vizt The
5th of Nov: His Prussian Majesty attack'd the combin'd Army
near Rosbach in Saxony, & gave them a Totall defeat, the
King in Person pursued. Brought to Meresbourg above 5000
Prisoners, 300 officers & 64 Cannon Prince Soubiase Comdr
of the French & Austns 50000 agt abt 20000 Prussians.
After the Action his Prussian Majesty march'd into Silesia &
gain'd a Battle the 5 Dec: over the Grand Austrian Army
greatly superior, Comded by Prince Charles of Loraine & Comt
Daun near Lissa & pursued them to Breslau, making 21000
men Prisoners 291 Officers & 116 Cannon & 4000 Waggons
with Horses & Military chest. Prussians kill'd abt 500.
Iany the 4th Whitehall by Letr from Mr Mitchell minister from
hence at Leipzig says Dec: 24th Last night an Officer arrived
from the King of Prussia's Army with the News that Breslau
surrended on the 20th in the morning, the Garrison with 13
or 14 Genl Officers & 10000 besides bet: 3 & 4000 sick &
