Charles absolute Lord and proprietor of the provinces of
Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c. Whereas

the city of St Maries the foure and twentieth day of Aprill
in the yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundred eighty and
foure Entituled an addiconall and supplementary Act to the
Act for advancement of Trade It was enacted that all Tobaccos
wares and merchandizes of the growth production and manu-
facture of our said province intended to be sold there or trans-
ported out of our said province should for that end and intent
be brought to the ports and places in the said Acts mentioned
under paines and penalties provided in and by the said Act

and by the said Act for the bringing the said Tobaccos wares
and merchandize of the growth production and manufacture of
our said province intended to be sold and transported to such
ports and places instead of being an advantage to our said
Province and the Inhabitants therein hath checkt the sale and
transportation of the said tobaccos wares and merchandize
Wee doe therefore hereby dispense with the paines and pen-
alties in and by the said Act provided and layd upon any per-
son or persons for or by reason of his or their bringing or
causeing to be brought any of the said Tobaccos wares and
merchandizes to any such port or place for the sale or trans-
portation thereof And we doe further hereby strictly charge
