Resolved thereupon and concluded by this Board as on the
6th Ins' that his Excellency the Govr do remit to New York
the Sum of 300l Sterl according to his ExcIlcys own free &
Generous Offer of his own private money towards the Relief
of that Colony & Ordered that the Receiver General do for
that Purpose make good the same to his Excellency out of the
publick Stock raised by the 4d p Gallon on all Liquors im-
ported according to Act of Assembly
And Ordered that such the Result of his Excellency & this
Board be signified by Letter to the Govr of New York & that
the Money shall be remitted by Collo Hamilton at his return
to his Govt of Iersey
Produced and read to the Board a Letter from the Queen
Dated the 26th of May Anno Dom 1692 to his Excellency the
Govr relating to the Post Office to be erected in this & other
the Neighbouring Collonies & plantations for the Conveni-
ency of Conveying all Letters & Passengers together with
Certain Proposal of Collo Hamilton the Govr of East & West
Iersey Post Master Genl appointed which were well approved
of by the Board but being of great moment & publick con-
cern resolved that the same be recommended earnestly with
the approbation of this Board to the Consideration of the next
Assembly as a matter of grant import & Conveniency to the
Province And if it shall then be thought fit that an Act of

Assembly pass to Establish such Office his Excllcy & this Board
do engage to take all the Effectual care imaginable for the
more ready passage of the posts too & fro
Advised & resolved that the Assembly appointed to sit the
20th Instant be further porogued to the 20th July next &
Ordered that Proclamation accordingly issue
Produced and ordered to be read a rough Draught of a
Letter ordered to be writ to Sr Edmond Andros Govr of Vir-
ginia which was accordingly read approved of & Ordered to
be fairly transcribed
Produced & Ordered to be read a petition preferred by
Iohn Curree to the Provincial Court & by them referred to
his Excellency the Govr being as follows vizt
