the Scurrilous tongues as by Copys of the Inclosed Depo-
sitions (which for the Honour & respect we bear to your

Excellency we send you to give you an oppertunity thereby
to vindicate your Honour & reputation from the foul Calum-
nies & aspersions therein thrown upon you, we are sorry to
find it Comes from the person therein named & Conceive
your Excllcy will do him great favour to acquaint him also
therewith that he may purge himself from the Imputation
therein charged on him As we hope he may possibly do

Came here & presented themselves to the Board Netaugh-
woughton King Ababco's Son & Tequassino two Chief &
principal men of the Nantecoke Indians & in behalf of them-
selves and all the rest of the said Indians desire to enter into
a new League of peace & Amity with his Excellency and this
Government in behalf of their Majestys Subjects the Inhabit-
ants of this Province they having lost their former Articles of
peace concluded between them to which offers or proposals
his Excellency and this Board signified their Consent &
Ordered that Articles be accordingly drawn between them
Concurrent with the said former Articles
His Excellency gives the Board to understand that he had
seen the Copy of a Letter from the Queens Majesty requiring
aid & assistance to New York to be given them from these
their Neighbouring Collonies & plantations that in obedience
