the said Certificate hereunto annexed may be thereupon
entered upon record for your Petitioner and the remainder of
the said warrant renewed to him being 44 Acres to be laid
out in any Part of the Province not already taken up nor
reserved for the Lord Baltemores use your Petitioner being
ready & willing to pay the Rents and Arrears of Rent due for
the said Land
And as in duty Bound your Petr shall pray &ca

The Petition granted & Ordered that three hundred & Six
Acres part of the warrant in the above Petition mentioned for
350 Acres be allowed for the making good of the rights of
the Land Surveyed for the Petitioner and the Certificate
thereupon to be Entered upon Record for and to the use of
the Petitioner as is prayed and that he have warrant renewed
to him for the remaining 44 Acres to be laid out for him in
any Part of the Province not formerly Surveyed nor reserved
for his Lordship the Lord Baltemores use
Adjourn till 6 a Clock in the Afternoon at what time
Notice to be given to Sir Thomas Lawrence to attend
this Board

Councill again met as p Adjournment
Present as before in the morning

Sr Thomas Lawrence also makes his appearance & hath
read unto him Mr Taylards Petition is charged & accused
of fraudulently Imbezzling & taking away the Contract or
Agreemt between him and the sd Taylard
Sr Thomas Lawrence denys the Contract & alledges there
was no certain Agreement made between them, but some
Proposals offered with which Mr Taylard on his Part had not
Complyed leaving & being absent from the Office for two

Months together & the Records Records not yet Perfected
William Taylard called in & examined upon the Premises
acknowledges that that Instrument or Writing delivered to
Mr Grunwin was the agreement concluded on & to be drawn
up betwixt them
Ordered to be read & was accordingly read Thomas Grun-
wins Letter to his Excellency as likewise a Petition preferred
to the Board by Sr Thomas Lawrence as foll (vizt)

May it Please your Excllcy
& the honble Board
Having on Monday the 27th day of March 1693 received a
Citation from your Excellency by the hand of Mr Iohn LLew-
ellin Clerk of the Councill in presence of Mr Robert Mason
