Robert Drury aged thirty two Years or thereabouts saith
when he was brought to the sight of the French Indian who
was supposed to be Monsr Casteene of Pennobscott beyond
Penciquid upon oath taken before me Saith that he is not
Monsr Casteene but some other Person for he the said Robert
Drury knoweth Mr Casteene very well but never saw this
Frenchman before nor any such marks as it was reported to
be on his Breast & further saith not

1692/3 Henry Thompson aged 21 Years or there-
abouts saith when he was brought to the sight of the French
Indian who was supposed to be Monsr Casteene of Pennob-
scott beyond Penciquid upon Oath taken before me Augustin
Casparus Herman saith that he is not Monsr Casteene to the
best of his Knowledge but some other Person neither did he
the said Henry Thompson ever report that he had any marks
upon his breast as is reported and further saith not

1. Disobedience to order of Govr & Councill Octr 13th 1692
requiring him to provide Seals for every County of the Prov-
ince—not complyed wth
2 Entring upon and Executing his Office of Secretary
before duly Qualified by given Security according to Law &
Custom notwithstanding the same had been often demanded
