next County Courts in the time of the Courts sitting and alsoe
in the most Publick Places of such Countyes And hereof they
are not to fail as they will answer the contrary And further it
is hereby published and declared that his Lo^p the R^t Hon^ble the
Lord Prop^ty of this Province haveing not only given his Assent
to the further Additionall Act of Assembly aforesaid but hath
alsoe highly approved thereof and strictly comanded that the
same be put in Execution And being alsoe assured that his
Lo^p will gratiously be pleased to vouchsafe his good people of
this Province his Presence among them the next Fall and will
then himself see a strict Prosecution of s^d Act. Haveing
resolved that an Act so beneficiall for the gen^ll good & Welfare
of this Province shall be duely observed Wee doe hereby give
notice and strictly require and enjoyn the severall Inhabitants
and good people of this Province that they fail not of makeing
Provision of Boats, Sloopes or other Conveniences to carry
their Tobaccoes to Townes as by the Act afores^d is required
and that all Masters of Ships take due notice hereof and that
after the day in the said Act Limitted they presume not to
take or load Tobaccoes from any other place but at the severall
Ports and Townes in the said Act allowed for shipping Places
under the Pains & forfeitures in the said Act mentioned and
likewise that the Justices & Comiss^rs of the severall & respec-
tive Countyes be not wanting in makeing due Provision of
Weights and Scales as by the said Act is enjoyned under pain
of being prosecuted as the said Act directs and the Justices &
Com^rs of the severall and respective County Courts within this
Province are hereby required that they pmitt the Sheriffs of
such Countyes to make publick Proclam^a in their next County
Courts at the time of Courts sitting and the said Sheriffs and
every of them are hereby strictly comanded that not only in
the County Courts as aforesaid but alsoe in the most Publick

and usuall places of their severall Countyes they make Publick
Proclamation hereof. Given under the Great Seal of this
Province the 4^th day of Feb^ry in the xiii^th Yeare of the Dom: of

the R^t Hon^ble Charles &c. Annoq Dni. 1687.
