abridging him of some fees formerly allowed by Act of As-
sembly to the Secretary and an Act of Assembly lately passed
taking away the Ordinary Licenses which had always before
for 14 or 15 Years last past been taken by and paid to the
Secretarys, against both which he protests and appeals he saith
to King and Councill in England
He is further and again given to understand that it is
referred to the Assembly what security shall be required of
him, and whether those fees in the Act now termed Chancery
fees being performed by a Particular Officer thereunto ap-
pointed are notwithstanding to be paid to the Secretary or the
Person that shall officiate therein & he is therefore advised to
proceed in the execution of his Office
He desires again to know whether he may have the records
delivered him up or no and whether the former Clerks of the
Offices at St Marys may not be obliged to give him an Accot
of their Perquisites since the date of his Commission or
whither the Collection of those fees not yet rec'd by them may
not be suspended till they have rendred him such Aeco'
J LLewellin the Clerk of the Councill to whose custody
were committed the records of the Land Office &ca at St
Marys alledges and makes appear to the Board here, that
when the Records was committed to his custody, the con-
vention did order and allot him the fees for Searches Copies
&ca thereby accruing
So soon as the Records in the custody of either the afore-
said Clerks can conveniently be perfected and an Accot thereof
taken ordered that they be delivered to Sr Thos Lawrence
and that he forthwith proceed to the Execution of his Office,
taking all fees properly belonging to his Office by Act of
Assembly and accruing since his arrivall, and it is also resolved
and concluded on that those Persons who have officiated in
