Petitioner hath well behaved himself in the said Office to the
Satisfaction of the whole County, and Others by whom he
was employed, and hath been dutifull and obedient to the
Government as he promises and assures your Honours he
shall still continue, & prays that if the Surveyors Office shall
be thought necessary to be put in Practice, Your Petitioner
may be continued in his Station, or otherwise that he may be
licensed by your Honours to officiate the sd Office between
the Inhabitants for the laying out and ascertaining the bounds
of their respective Lands already taken up as shall be desired
by them upon such terms and for such fees as the Law directs
and appoints And Your Petitioner shall pray &c

nominated and appointed Surveyor for Baltimore County,
and that he return his Certificates in the Office to be recorded
Mr William Hutchinson appointed Surveyor for Charles
and St Marys Counties
Mr Edward Batson for Calvert and Ann Arundel Counties

To His Excellency Lionel Copley Esqe Cap-
tain Genl & Governor of the Province of Maryland
The humble Petition of John Haslewood of the County of
Dorchester
In all humbleness unto
your Excellency sheweth That whereas since the Revolu-
tion your Petr hath officiated in the said County of Dorchester
as a Coroner, and no Misdemeanor or Neglect appearing
against Your Petitioner in the said Office humbly beseecheth
your Excellency for a Continuation of the said Place during
your Excellencys good Pleasure
And your Petr shall as in Duty bound ever pray

the Petition was granted, and ordered that Commission be
accordingly directed to the Petr for the Coroners Office in
Dorchester County

At a Council held at the City of St
Marys the 10th day of June Anno Dni 1692
