assuring Your Excellency that as he hath hitherto since his
Arrival well and submissively behaved himself to this their
Majesties Government so he will take all due Care imaginable
to preserve and keep himself in the like due Order and
Decorum; and for such Your Excellencys Clemency, Your
Petitioner himself his Wife and Children as in Duty bound
shall ever pray &c

The Attorney General called and his Opinion demanded
concerning the Premises whether or no the Petitioner under
his present Circumstances be bailable
He craves Time to consult and consider thereof till to
morrow, and then will deliver his Opinion therein to his
Excellency
Mr Attorney General, Mr Kenelm Cheseldyne, and the
Clerk of the Council, together with Mr Claybourne Lomax of
Charles County are nominated and hereby appointed to
peruse and revise the Body of the Laws ot this Province, and
to report to this Board what necessary Amendments or Alter-
ations they think fit and convenient to be made therein, to the
End the same may be recommended to the Consideration of
the next Assembly
Dem. Col Henry Darnall at his Request is admitted in
and further prays the Result and Answer of this Board to his
Demands of having delivered to him his Lordships Bills and
Bonds passed for the takeing up of Lands in this Province,
now in Custody of the Clerk of the Council by Order of the
Committee, and also for the Delivery up to him of the Records
of Lands for the better enabling him to calculate and collect
his Lordps Rents &c

Ani. As for the Bonds &c they having been passed for taking
up of Lands upon the Conditions of Plantations, and those
Conditions not complyed with on his Lordships Part, it seems
not reasonable to this Board, that the Bonds should be deliv-
ered at present, but referr the same to the Consideration of
the Assembly: And as for the Records of the Land Office, Jt
is thought fit that they be and remain in the Office, for the
Satisfaction and Recourse of the Good People of this Province
thereto who are therein interested & concerned till the Meet-
ing of the Assembly and their Opinion consulted therein—
Memorandum together with Col Darnals Petition before
mentioned was produced and read at the same time therewith
his Majesty's Letter of the 12th November last past as follows
