the future the said moiety of the impost of two shillings per
hoggshead so appropriated and such other Revenue as shall
be raised for those purposes and for taking and remitting an
account of what has been received of the said impost since the
meeting of the said Convention in Maryland in Order to a
due Application thereof and that the value of the Bills for the
said duty of 14 per. tun and the moiety of the value of the
Bills for the said impost of two shillings per hoggshead be
answered unto the said Lord Baltemore as Proprietary of
Maryland and that the said duty & moiety of the said impost
be hereafter collected by such as shall be appointed by his
Lordship to collect Receive the same for his own use.

Order upon the Report concerning the Revenue of Mary-
land.
At the Court at Whitehall
the 27th of February 1690.
Present
The Lords of His Majestys most honorable
Privy Councill.
The Right Honorable the Lords of the Committee of Trade
and Plantations having this day reported in Councill, that
upon hearing the Lord Baltemore and the Agents deputed by
the Convention of Maryland, and examining an Act passed in
the Assembly there, the 30th day of April 1679, concerning
the Revenue of that Province, their Lordships do find that one
moiety of the impost of two shillings per hogshead upon all
the tobacco exported from the Province of Maryland, is appro-
priated by the said Act for the use and support of the Gov-
ernment there. So that His Majesty having thought fit to
appoint a Governor of that Province, It is requisite that the
said moiety of the two shillings per hogshead and such other
Revenue as shall be there raised for those purposes be duly
applyed, and their Lordships therefore proposing, that out of
the Bills of Exchange for the said Impost and the duty of four-
teen pence p tun already remitted to England and of such
other Bills as shall be remitted for the said duties or debts
contracted for the same by the Convention there one moiety
of the said Impost be applied (if not already done) to the use
and support of that Government and the other moiety of the
said Impost with the Duty of fourteen pence p tun Answered
to the Lord Baltimore as Proprietor of Maryland.
It was this day ordered in Councill That it be referred as it
